The Aldo Freda Scholarship was created in 1985 by the Rhode Island Legislature to memorialize a noted colleague and public servant and to benefit Rhode Island legislative pages who exemplify qualities that Aldo Freda held dear: maturity, integrity, leadership ability, academic excellence and a commitment to public service. The Aldo Freda Scholarship exists to further the education of Rhode Island Legislative Pages enrolled in a college or university. Two or three scholarships of $1,000 will be given annually.
SELECTION CRITERIA
In order to qualify as an applicant, you must meet the following criteria:
* Be employed as a legislative page by the State of Rhode Island.
* Must show scholastic achievement and good citizenship.
* Able to demonstrate financial need.
* Accepted into a full-time accredited post-secondary institution or graduate program.
* Be a Rhode Island resident and a citizen of the United States.
