The Banatao Filipino American Education Fund will award 24 scholarships to qualified high school juniors for SAT preparation courses and college admissions counseling. Each scholarship is worth approximately $1,500 and includes a voucher for an SAT preparation course with The Princeton Review, as well as admissions counseling with a private advisor.
CRITERIA
* Current high school junior
* Filipino heritage (50 percent or more)
* Cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.7 on an unweighted 4.0 scale
* Plans to attend four-year college or university
* Interest and skills in engineering, math or science
* Resident of one of the the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, Sonoma.
