HISTORY/PURPOSE:
In 1981 the Burlington Veterans’ Club established an education trust fund with Vermont Student Assistance Corporation to help Vermont students pursue a postsecondary education. VSAC arranged for the proceeds of the trust to be distributed annually as scholarships to Chittenden County high school seniors.
Eligibility
* Graduate from a Chittenden County high school
* Attend an accredited postsecondary school approved for federal Title IV funding
* Demonstrate academic achievement (top 10% of graduating high school class)
* Demonstrate financial need
