Eligibility:
* African American graduating high school senior
* Cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale by February 1st in the year of graduation
* Complete the scholarship application form online
* Submit a typed essay of no less than 250 words on the topic "Why Cosmetology/Beauty Culture is Important to Me"
