Earl Dedman owned and operated Mountainview Greenhouses in Woodinville, WA and was a former president of BPFI. Educated in rural Montana in a one-room schoolhouse, Earl had a strong commitment to education, believing it was a great way to better yourself. Earl considered education and hardwork to be the keys to sucess in life.
The Earl Dedman Scholarship is awarded to students who are interested in becoming greenhouse growers, are from the Northwestern United States, and have sophomore, junior, or senior status.
In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must:
* Be pursuing a career in a horticulture related field
* Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
* Reside in the Northwest U.S. (Oregon, Washington, etc)
*Have a career interest in growing greenhouse crops
Earl Dedman, owner of Mountain View Greenhouse in Woodinville, Washington, served as a past president of FIRST. His scholarship goes to a student from the Northwest U.S. (Washington, Oregon, etc.), with a career interest as a grower.
