Who may apply: Degree-seeking graduate and professional students.
How to apply:
Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Also contact the financial aid office of the institution you will attend and ask to be considered for a Graduate and Professional Scholarship.
When to apply:
Contact the financial aid office of the school you will attend for their deadlines.
Eligible majors: Graduate and professional programs in dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, social work, and veterinary medicine.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You must be a Maryland resident and demonstrate financial need. You must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student, either part-time or full-time, and attend one of the following schools: University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Pharmacy, or Social Work; University of Baltimore School of Law; The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine; The Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, or certain Maryland institutions offering a master’s degree in nursing or social work.

Applicants are ranked on basis of the student need as demonstrated on the FAFSA.
