The Helen and L.S. Wong Memorial Scholarship will make two $3,000 and two $1,000 awards to qualified seniors from Fairfield and Suisun high schools who will enroll at four-year colleges and universities, or community colleges (with a strong commitment to transferring to a four-year institution). Each of these four scholarships is renewable at a lesser amount for a total of four years on the basis of satisfactory academic performance in a full-time undergraduate program. In this scholarship program’s initial years, a number of $500 to $1,000 one-time grants will be awarded as well. Awards are for undergraduate study only.
CRITERIA
* Current senior at a Fairfield or Suisun high school
* Asian heritage
* Attending a four-year college or university or a community college (with a strong commitment to transfer to a four-year institution)
* Cumulative GPA of 2.8
* Award based on merit and financial need
* U.S. citizens or permanent residents
