PURPOSE: To advance the global expansion of NSBE’s mission via the encouragement of member participation in cross-border academic exchange.
ELIGIBILITY:
* ALL NSBE undergraduate and graduate student members are eligible to apply.
* Must be listed as an ACTIVE member of NSBE on the NSBE Online System.
* Applicant must:
- Be a full-time student in a country other than his or her country of citizenship at the time of scholarship disbursement. (Example: US student studying abroad in Ghana.)
Summer study-abroad programs are acceptable.
-OR-
- Hold NSBE-International student membership status. (i.e. a NSBE member belonging to a non-United States based chapter.)
* Minimum GPA requirement: 3.2/4.0(Cumulative), ‘B’ Average (80%), or equivalent.
* Applicant must provide a statement (in English) on the topic, “The Globalization of the Workforce and its Effect on Future Black Engineers.” Essay must not exceed 350 words or one page in length.
* Scholarship award must be applied towards tuition of study program and/or learning materials
(i.e. textbooks, lab materials, etc).
* Non-engineering/technical majors are NOT eligible.
* Applications must be submitted online via NSBE Online.
* Mail official transcript to the NSBE.
