The John Lennon Scholarship Program recognizes young songwriters working in any genre between the ages of 15 and 25. Entries are solicited from a group of schools and from the National Association for Music Education.
The submitted work must be an original song with lyrics accompanied by whatever instrumentation is chosen by the applicant. Both lyrics and music must be original and not based on any prior work.
