The Maria Elena Yuchengco Memorial Journalism Scholarship will award two to three scholarships totaling $5,000 each year.
Scholarship recipients will have the possibility of interning at Filipinas Magazine.
This scholarship was created through the Asian Pacific Fund to provide educational opportunities for Filipino American students to pursue journalism as a major and career.
Criteria
* Full-time undergraduate student at any Bay Area university
* Journalism major
* Filipino heritage (including mixed heritage)
* Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
* Demonstrates merit and financial need
* U.S. citizen or permanent resident
