Scholarship Description

$5,000 ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AND
$3,000 RESEARCH GRANT

The Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT) Foundation is offering one high school senior, one undergraduate-level and one graduate-level college/university scholarship for women who are currently or will be enrolled in college/university-level courses for the upcoming academic year. In addition, we are offering one graduate or undergraduate level research grant of $3000, which can be applied to research materials, lab requirements, travel and presentation needs, etc.

* The high school senior scholarship is worth $5,000 annually, and is renewable for up to three additional years, for a total possible value of $20,000.
* The undergraduate scholarship is worth $5,000 annually, and is renewable for up to two additional years, for a total possible value of $15,000.
* The graduate level scholarship is worth $5,000 annually, and is renewable for up to two additional for a total possible value of $15,000.
* The research grant is a one time disbursement of $3,000. The research grant is designed to support a summer work/study project with a faculty advisor, travel and publication expenses, to present a paper at a conference, or software/hardware/ lab equipment purchases in support of a thesis project.

ELIGIBILITY
An applicant must be a female high-school student (entering college), undergraduate or graduate level student who is:
* a resident of the State of Michigan
* a United States Citizen
* a student with a minimum of a 2.8 GPA
