One award will be made to a U.S. student currently enrolled in a graduate degree program for study abroad during the upcoming academic year. Students are not restricted to certain countries or fields of study although the committee encourages applicants in the fields of environmental studies, international business, or economics. Students should demonstrate some proficiency with the language of their chosen country if the program proposed is for a non-English speaking country.
Eligibility Criteria
* The applicant must be a U.S. citizen who is enrolled in a graduate degree program at an IIE Educational Associate Institution of higher learning in the Rocky Mountain region at the time of application.
* Applicants should demonstrate commitment to serious study abroad as a complement to academic and career goals. Evidence of this commitment should be presented in the “Statement of Purpose” portion of the application.
* At-large students are not eligible for this scholarship.
* The Applicant must be assured that credit will be given for the study or research undertaken by the U.S. college or university through which s/he is applying.
