This is a federally-supported merit-based scholarship program which awards $1,500 per year scholarships to selected Hoosier students. Funds for this program are very limited.
To be eligible an applicant must:
* Achieve a minimum Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) score of 1300 (combine score of verbal and math only) from one single test or a 29 composite score on the ACT, or earn an average standard score of 620 or higher on the GED
* Be an Indiana resident
* Be a senior in high school with an accumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or receive a GED in the year you are applying for the scholarship
* Apply and/or enroll at an institution of higher education
* Not have defaulted on a debt to the federal government or sentenced for a drug offense
Scholars must attend a postsecondary institution on a full-time basis the first year to receive a scholarship. The maximum annual scholarship is $1500.00. The scholarship is renewable if the scholars maintain satisfactory academic progress as determined by the scholar's college/university. Scholarships may be used to attend any approved institutions in the United States. Scholarships for this federally-funded program are very limited.
