Scholarship Eligibility
* In general, except as noted in the scholarship description, awards are made to residents of Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties in Massachusetts and Hartford County in Connecticut.
* Students throughout Massachusetts are considered for the James W. Colgan interest-free educational loan if they have been Massachusetts residents for the past five years. Students seeking higher education at the graduate and undergraduate level and attending on a full- or part-time basis may apply.
* The selection process is competitive. Most awards are based on financial need and academic merit unless otherwise noted.
* Students must reapply each year.
