This scholarship was established in 2001 by the family and friends of Shayne Conley Worcester, a compassionate and gifted writer, filmmaker, poet, musician, and athlete. It supports post-secondary education for a graduating senior at Mount Desert Island High School who has demonstrated the most improvement in track and field and who has inspired others by his/her dedication and achievement.
