Simon Youth Foundation (SYF) awards one-time and renewable post-secondary scholarships to qualified high school seniors across the country who reside within 50 miles of a Simon mall and plan to attend an accredited two or four-year college, university, or technical/vocational school. Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, creed, religion, gender, disability, or national origin, and recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, academic record, potential to succeed, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals, and an outside appraisal. In addition, special consideration is given to first-generation college students.
