Available to students classified as Georgia residents for tuition purposes. Students must plan to enroll at the University of Georgia in the 2008-2009 academic year as continuing undergraduates or transfer students. This is a $2,500 year award to be initially disbursed in the fall.
Eligibility Requirements
* Be of Hispanic heritage.
* Be a U.S. Citizen or a legal permanent resident with permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551 (not expired).
Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale.
* Must apply for federal financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1.
* Students must demonstrate financial need with priority given to students who are Pell grant eligible and those who have unmet need.
* Plan to enroll FULL-TIME at the University of Georgia in the fall.
