Each year the Eastern Washington Section of the Society of Women Engineers administers a $ 1000 scholarship (minimum) which is funded from a trust fund established by the section. The scholarship will be awarded to a nontraditional engineering female student to help alleviate the financial burden of returning to school.
Eligibility
* Be a nontraditional female student endeavoring to reenter the work force or to assist in career growth and potential.
* Be in a position to accept the scholarship toward undergraduate or graduate engineering studies in an accredited school in the fall following presentation of the award.
* Satisfactory completion of a minimum of two years of full time equivalent credits at an ABET accredited school. These credits do not have to be in an engineering curriculum.
* Be a woman residing in the Northwestern United States (inclusive of WA, OR, ID, MT, and AK).
